Abstract

An experimental study on Nanjing fine sand was performed. The dynamic triaxial test results show that the liquefaction resistance has perfect correlation with the relative density for reconstituted samples. The value of the liquefaction resistance increases with the increase of the value of relative density of sample. The liquefaction resistances of the undisturbed samples are larger than those of reconstituted samples, and this difference will be reduced while the peak value of dynamic load decrease.Due to the existence of natural structural property,Nanjing fine sand samples with different relative densities may have the same liquefaction resistance.
