Abstract
The 2012 APEC summit was held on September 8th in the Far East city of Vladivostok .This was the first time for Russia to sponsor APEC summit and the choice of Vladivostok showed to the world Russia’s determination to develop the Far East.This is an opportunity for Russia to develop the Far East in a fully accelerated speed.Although the resources are rich in the Far East of Russia and Siberia,it is the most backward areas in Russian economic development.At the same time,the economics in the whole Asia-Pacific region is developing rapidly.As a result,how to speed up the development of the Russian Far East has become a critical issue for both the revival of the entire country-Russia and the achievement of strategic docking with the Asia-Pacific region.
