Clinical effects of Augentropfen Stulln Mono eye-drops on asthenopia after laser in situ keratomileusis

Objective To observe the clinical effects of Augen- tropfen Stulln Mono eye-drops on asthenopia after laser in situ ker- atomileusis (LASIK). Methods A total of 111 patients (222 eyes) with asthenopia during earlier period after LASIK, divided into treatment and control groups, in addition to conventional postopera- tive medication, the treatment group plus with Augentropfen Stulln Mono eye-drops. Regular observation of the two groups depending on the situation and ease the symptoms of asthenopia to score, ob- servation time for four weeks. Results Asthenopia of all the pa- tients were released gradually with the extension of time. one week after surgery the asthenopia score of two groups were 5.62 ±2.18 and 6.04±2.86, the difference was not significant; after two weeks and three weeks of the treatment group as asthenopia score of 4.72 ±1.65 and 3.24 ±1.13, the control group was 5.66 ±2.54 and 3.82±1.88, there were significant differences (P0.05). Conclusion Augentropfen Stulln Mono eye-drops are effective and safe for as- thenopia during earlier period after LASIK.
