On the Aesthetic Educational Value of Poetry

Abstract

China is a country of poetry,and poetry is an artistic rarity which functions as a shocking and empathizing force to man's mind.The poetic aesthetic education develops aesthetic ecuation poetry with treating poetry as an aesthetic object,appraciates poetry with choosing esthetic as a principal means,actually it is Confucius' poetic education.This paper attempts to study the aesthetic educational value of poetry from the aspects of the four functions of poetry: Xing,Guang,Qun and Yuan.
