Necessity of Supervision of Geotechnical Prospecting and Practice in Maritime Engineering Projects

Based on a summary of the practice of supervision of geotechnical prospecting in domestic projects and in light of the analysis of the characteristics and status quo of geotechnical prospecting in maritime engineering projects,the necessity of introduction of supervision of geotechnical prospecting to large-scale maritime engineering projects is elaborated.Based on the practice of supervision of geotechnical prospecting for Phase II of Container Terminal in Dachanwan Part Area in Shenzhen Port,the importance of qualifications of a supervisory institution and preparation of Supervisory Plan and Specification for Implementation of Supervisory Plan in supervision of geotechnical prospecting is also expounded.
