Abstract
The effects of pellet active carbon and two kinds of carbon-based slow-release fertilizers SRF1,SRF2 on growth development and yield of maize were studied. The results showed that ordinary fertilizer added pellet active carbon and new-type slow-release fertilizer improved agronomic traits effectively, including increased in leaf area and the number of roots. In the yield aspect, ordinary fertilizer added carbon and slow-release fertilizer SRF1,SRF2 increased respectively by 3.0%,7.4%,11.4%,21.1%,over the corresponding ordinary fertilizer, the differences between them were remarkable or the extremely remarkable. The total trends were that the slow-release fertilizer was better than ordinary fertilizer added carbon, ordinary fertilizer added carbon was better than ordinary fertilizer, the ordinary fertilizer was better than non-fertilizer,the effects of ordinary fertilizer added carbon and slow-release fertilizer on maize showed the 30% of nutrient content was better than the 40% nutrient content.
