Values of Paper-cut in Folk Culture and Heritage:A Case Study of Shanxi Folk Paper-cut

Folk paper-cut is a wonderful piece of Chinese folk art,whose values have gone beyond the art itself.It plays an essential role in the folk culture and heritage.This paper takes Shanxi folk paper-cut as a case study,intending to do a research on its values in folk culture and heritage.At first the paper analyzes and discusses the values from three aspects,then summarizes the values of the folk paper-cut art in bearing the connotation,expressing the social function and promoting the living transmission of the folk culture.This paper aims to draw people's more attention to the folk paper-cut art and to arouse people's awareness of protecting it.
