Abstract

Objective To investigate the incidence, etiology and prognosis of acute kidney injury(AKI) in hospitalized patients to provide a basis for its prevention and treatment. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted on the clinical data of 141 AKI patients admitted to this hospital from March to August of 2011.Results AKI incidence was 0.5%(141 / 28 291),mortality was 19.9%(28 /141).Sixty-four patients had rerenal AKI(45.4%),including 46 cases of decreased cardiac output(71.9%).Seventy-four patients had parenchymal AKI(52.5%),including 26 cases of infection(35.1%),23 had drug-induced.Three patients had postrenal AKI(2.1%).In 62 patients with hospital-acquired AKI(HA-AKI)(44.0%),39 had prerenal HA-AKI(62.9%),23 had parenchymal HA-AKI(37.1%);Twenty-two patients were related to surgery(35.5%),including 16 cases of cardiac and vascular surgeries(25.8%).Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that combination with MODS and use of diuretics entered into the regression equation(P 0.05).Conclusion AKI patients(mainly renal parenchymal and prerenal) in this hospital have high incidence and mortality.Combination with MODS and use of diuretics are risk factors for deaths of AKI patients.
