Abstract

A method was proposed for the simultaneous determination of trace arsenic and mercury in the marine sediment sample by atomic fluorescence spectrometry with hydride generation. The influence of operation conditions such as KBH_4 concentration and coexisting ions were also studied. The recovery, detection limit, liner range and the RSD are 91.9%~105%,0.06 μg·L~(-1),0~8 μg·L~(-1) and 4.7% for As,and 93.0%~109%,2.65 ng·L~(-1),0~800 ng·L~(-1) and 5.8% for Hg,respectively. The method is simple and rapid with high sensitivity.
