Abstract

Distribution is an important factor in economy.Scholars who study the problem of income inequality have a common consensus that education and human capital is a significant factor who affects the income distribution.Education Gini coefficient is usually used to measure educational inequality. There is a distinguishing feature that education inequality between communities is similar to the educational inequality between different classes in China.Using the education Gini coefficient and income Gini coefficient data and other indexes of 1991-2004,we construct an econometric model to analyze the relationship between educational inequality and income inequality. We also give some suggestion at the end.
