On the Artistic Features of Xu Yue's Poetry

Abstract
Xu Yue's poetry is typical of extraordinary imagination and artistic expression of metaphors and hyperboles. Xu Yue excelled in representing the reality with artistic form, embodying his subjective attitude in objective narration, and expressing his personal feeling with detailed description of the settings. His poetry, an inheritance and development to the realism poetry of China, are particular about diction and vivid in style.
