Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of management of renal stone by percutaneous nephrolithotripsy(PCNL) with holmium laser under B ultrasound guidance. Methods Retrospectivey analysis clinical data of 247 cases of renal stones in patients received percutaneous nephrolithotomy with holmium laser treatment, using B ultrasound-guided percutaneous renal puncture channel establishment. Results The percutaneous renal access was successfully established under ultrasound guidance in 238 patients.Immediate phase I lithotripsy was performed in 240 cases and delayed phase Ⅱ lithotripsy in 7 cases.Operation time ranged from 65 to 167 minutes.200~800 mL blood transfusion was needed in 5 cases. No severe complications were noted during nephrolithotripsy. All of the patients were reexamined 5 days after operations, stones were cleared in 218 cases, residual stone fragments were found in 29 cases, and the stones free rate was 88.3%(218/247).Conclusion The management of upper urinary tract calculus using PCNL under ultrasound guidance appears to be efficacious and safe.
