Visualization Analysis of the Evolution from the Bibliometrics to Webometrics

It has been already about 90 years since the original of the bibliometric study,formed a fully-fledged discipline — Bibliometrics.With the depth of quantitative research and the effect of social environment,the Informetrics has evolved on the basis of Bibliometrics.And along with the sharply increase of Internet Information Resources,the Webometrics has emerged as required.In this paper,the date resources about Bibliometrics,Informetrics and Webometrics are come from ISI Web of knowledge.The author tries to use the information visualization techniques of dynamic network analysis — CiteSpace II,draw the knowledge map of the literature ' s co-citation to identify the important achievements and representative scientists.At the same time,the author draws the knowledge map of the evolution of Bibliometrics ' frontier,directly shows the development of the evolution from Bibliometrics to Webometrics.
