Abstract

Objective To explore the relationships between serum level of tumor necrosis factor-alpha,IL6,adiponeetin,retinol binding protein 4(RBP4)and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes. Methods 48 T2DM patients and 40 healthy controls were recruited.Levels of serum TNF-α,IL-6,adiponectin,RBP4,plasma glucose, insulin, blood lipids, blood pressure,BMI and WHR were measured.Insulin resistance was evaluated by HOMA-IR.Results The levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and RBP4 were correlated positively with HOMA-IR(P0.05~0.01),adiponectin was correlated negatively with HOMA-IR(P0.05).There were positive relationships among TNF-α,IL-6,and RBP4,and negative relationships between adiponectin and TNF-α,IL-6 as well as RBP4.BMI,TG,adiponectin and RBP4 were the independent risk fators for HOMA-IR in T2DM.Conclusion Adiponectin,RBP4,BMI,TG,as the independent risk fators for IR may be involved in T2DM development.
