Abstract
Objective Two PC-12 cell models of persistent infection by two types of strains of Borna disease virus(BDV) were respectively established to provide a tool for studying pathogenesis of BDV infection and comparing pathogenesis feature between these two types of BDV strains.Method PC-12 cells were infected respectively with BDV strain Hu and strain V,and subcultivated for passages.BDV nucleic acid and expression of BDV protein were then detected by Real time FQ RT-PCR,Western blot and indirect immunofluorescence.Result BDV nucleic acid and protein were both dectectable in the two groups of PC-12 cells after six passages. Conclusion BDV strain Hu and strain V can replicate and express in PC-12 cell. The two PC-12 cell models of persistent infection by two respective types of strains of Borna Disease Virus(BDV) were successfully established.
