Effects of Different Sowing and Transplanting Time on Growth and Development and Quality of Fluecured Tobacco

For exploring best transplanting period of Hezhou tobacco area, the effects of different sowing and transplanting time on the growth and development and quality of flue-cured tobacco was studied. The results showed that in a certain range, tobacco agronomic characteristics, economical characteristics and sensory quality improved, chemical composition tended to coordination by the postponement of sowing and transplanting time, but more than a certain period, the negative effect happened.By combination of observations and study results, suitable seeding and transplanting time in Hezhou tobacco area were in mid - December and early March.
