Wei Yuan,who was regarded as the first man to look out of the old China and the pionecr of China's modernization,still had some limitations in his mind due to the limitations of China's traditional intelligentsia.But his cultural ideology with the statecraft ideology at the core established the ideological foundation for the subsequent cultural revolution.
