Sternal turnover with pedicle of abdominal rectus muscle for pectus excavatum

Abstract
Objective To explore the surgical correction for the patient with pectus excavatum. Method Sternal turnover operation with pedicle of abdominal rectus muscle were performed in 10 patients with pectus excavatum. Results The results of surgery were satisfactory. The sternal pedicles had abundant blood supply. There was no recurrence after operations. Conclusion The surgery of Sternal turnover with pedicle of abdominal rectus muscle for pectus excavatum has following advantages: simple operation, less blooding, rapid recovery, satisfactory results and no recurrence.
