Abstract

Objective To develop the USB device driver for embedded medical equipment based on Linux. Methods A Miniature Parameter Monitor based on embedded linux was designed. It used ARM9 microprocessor s3c2410 as main CPU of hardware control center, embedded linux OS as software development platform and had one USB interface.USB device driver's system-structure and programming methods were studied.Drive program applying to the specific platform is developed. Results This programming is greatly simplified compared to the old one.By testing, the system could mount USB flash disk automatically, exchange data accurately. The transmission speed was fast, reliable and stable. Conclusion The USB device driver can improve the speed and quality of the data exchange between the equipment and host computer as well as the equipment and function modules.Great storage capacity is realized and its hot plug is so convenience in using.
