Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the value of serum tumor markers in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and differential diagnosis of benign and malignant pancreatic diseases. Methods: The serum level of CA19-9,CA242,CA125,CA50,CEA and AFP in191 patients with several types of tumors are retrospectively analyzed, compared with liver cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, biliary tract malignancy, other benign disease and benign pancreatic diseases, and analyzed the value of tumor markers in differential diagnosis of malignant pancreatic diseases. To treat the measure results of the serum tumor markers with ROC curve methods. Results: CA19-9,CA50 and CA242 in six kinds of tumor markers in pancreatic cancer group were higher than in benign disease group, liver cancer group, gastrointestinal cancer group and other benign disease group, there was statistically significant(P0.05).CA19-9 in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant pancreatic disease was statistically significant. Conclusion: CA19-9,CA50 and CA242 for identification of pancreatic and non-pancreatic diseases are available;the comprehensive ability of CA19-9 for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant pancreatic diseases is stronger than the other tumor markers, ability to identify of pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer is poor.
