Abstract
In this paper,we present an efficient algorithm based on octree to generate tetrahedral meshes from surface models. Our algorithm first subdivides axis-aligned bounding box of a surface model into tetrahedra.Subsequantly,we obtain an initial indention mesh after removing all the tetrahedra outside the surface model. Finally,we deal with the rough indention mesh. Results show that our algorithm can efficiently generate tetrahedral mesh and the volume mesh models have smooth boundary.
