Abstract
The influence of lubricant properties on coefficient of friction (COF) of coated paper was studied in this paper. The results indicate that among the different lubricants used in Clay/ PCC mixed coating formula, the application of lubricant can decrease the coefficient of friction of coating surface and the PE emulsion and OPE emulsion decreases the COF effectively with more effect on dynamic COF than on static COF. Furthermore, the adding of lubricant decreases surface roughness of coated paper with PE emulsion having more distinct effect than other lubricants.
