Abstract
To find the remaining oil in the development area, the high resolution sequence stratigraphic analysis is made for the upper and middle submembers of Es 3 in Block Hu 5 of Huzhangji Oilfield in Puyang depression, three sizes of stratigraphic cycles (short term, mid term and long term)are identified The stratigraphic cycles correspond respectively to the base levels of different orders Through stratigraphic correlation of No 3~4 sandsets in upper submember and No 1~10 sand sets in middle submember of Es 3 in the whole area, a high resolution sequence stratigraphic framework of the whole area is established, the control of the sequence on the reservoir distribution and the arrangement of main sedimentary facies within the sequence are analyzed
