Abstract

TCP/IP is the basis for network communication, and TCP/UDP is the kernel of TCP/IP. Socket is the internet programming interface in the applications out of the kernel. Network applications are based on Socket. Windows Sockets API is the interface of network programming of Microsoft Windows. MFC of Visual C provides two Socket classes, CAsyncSocket and CSocket, which encapsulate the Socket functions of Windows. Under the environment of Windows NT,by using VC6.0 the implementing a program of a simple browser of text type can verity how Socket supports the internet programming.
