Clinic study on early blood purification in treatment of rhabdomyolysis

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of early blood purification in the treatment of rhabdomyolysis.Methods: Thirty-two patients with rhabdomyolysis were taken blood purification in 72 hours after they got the disease.Serum concentration of myohemoglobin,creatine phosphokinase(CPK),creatine phosphokinase-isoenzyme-MB(CPK-MB),creatinine(Cr),urea nitrogen(BUN),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) were measured before and after the treatment.Results: After the treatment,the average serum levels of myohemoglobin,CPK,CPK-MB,Cr,BUN,AST,ALT,LDH were significantly decreased.Thirty-one cases recovered,1 patient died for cerebral infarction.Conclusions: Early blood purification is effective in treating rhabdomyolysis.
