Progress in Studying of High Mobility Group Box 1

HMGB1(high mobility group box 1)is one of nucleic proteins,which is related to the stability of chromosome and participates in many physiological function such as intracellular transcription and so on.Recent study have shown that HMGB1 also plays a very important role outside of cells,expecially in inflammation,in which it can mediate the development of inflammation by cell initiative and passive secretion as a kind of forme tardive mediator.In comparison with some early proinflammatory factors such as TNF、IL-1 which were considered important,HMGB1 may be more significant for clinical therapy.Besides that,it is also related to the cell migration and differentiation to some extent.
