Abstract
Maize seeds were soaked in different concentration solutions of chitosan. The results showed that seed germination rate and seed germination potential was the highest using 150 mg/L chitosan. The maize seeds were treated with 150 mg/L chitosan under drought stress supplemented with 15% PEG6000 solution.Chitosan could increase significantly the seed germination rate, seed germination potential and the root activity of maize seedlings as well.
