Abstract

Using 'Dugenhong'and 'PingjiuNo.4' treated at 2℃、5℃、9℃ in different days.The sprouting rate and growth rate were observed to determine the reaction of leek dormancy to different low temperature.The results were as following,'Dugenhong' in room temperature had fewer days before sprouting rate≥60%,sprouting and growing quickly when it was free from dormancy;it had longer days before sprouting rate ≥60% sprouting and growing slowly when it was in deep dormancy;and it showed intermediate properties between in free dormancy and deep dormancy when it was in low dormancy.'PingjiuNo.4' in room temperature sprouted and grown quickly and uniformly after endured different low temperature,indicating to dormancy characteristic.The index of free dormancy include not only sprouting rate but also growth rate,2~5℃ is the suitable temperature for leek dormancy.
