Abstract
Different populations of cells are involved in the activity of inflammatory and immune responses. Cell adhesion molecules are proteins which locate on cell surface or in the surrounding of cell and mediate the contact of cell-cell or cell-matrix. In this review we summarized the structure, distribution, and function of cell adhesion molecules involved in the periodontal diseases.
