Abstract
The soil was sampled in vegetable planting bases in Miyi county of Panxi. The levels of heavy metals in soil sample were determined by atomic adsorption spectrometry and graphite furnace atomic emission spectrometry. The results showed that the average content of Cr,Cu,Ni,Zn,Pb,Cd,As and Hg were 68.8,22.3,27.6,146.2,31.7g,0.258,10.3 and 0.0618 mg/kg respectively.According to the Standard for Soil Environment Quality(GB15618-1995),the data were assessed using the integrated pollution indexes of single factor and multifactor. The results showed that little part of the vegetable planting area were lightly polluted by heavy metals of which Cd was the main one and the content of metals else were in the safety siding.
