Abstract
Under the condition of mobile rain-proof shelter,by cultivating in test-pit,controlling different soil water content strictly,a systematic study was conducted to the response of different soil water treatment on ecological index, water consumption and yield of spring maize during the growing period. The results indicated that water stress inhibited the growth and development of spring maize. The higher soil moisture treatment had a high leaf area, height and stem diameter;there was no obvious influence on light stress,as the stress aggravated, all of the ecological index showed a downward trend. The lower soil moisture treatment resulted in the yield and water consumption amount maize significantly decreased, and it could let plant aging accelerate and growing period advance.T-4 had luxury evapotranspiration, its yield was lower than T-3.Finally,compared with yield and water consumption, the suitable control limit index of soil moisture content was put forward. The results would provide basis for determining reasonable irrigation, saving water and increasing yield of spring maize.
