Abstract

PMMA/montmorillonite nanocomposite was prepared by bulk polymerization process. The resulting nanocomposite was characterized by X ray diffraction showing that an exfoliated material was formed. The thermal stability and flame retardancy of the composite were assessed by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and LOI techinques.
