Abstract
In order to optimize signal control parameters, intersection delay should be carefully analyzed and calculated. This paper improves the signalized intersection model and makes an adjustment to it.It analyzes and infers intersection delay formation against non-saturated and oversaturated traffic conditions of intersections with queuing theory. The result not only complements the existing delay theory, but also provides theoretical foundation for setting signal phase.
