Abstract

The moon is highly depleted in volatile elements.On the other hand,the lunar regolith contains large amounts of noble gas implanted by the solar wind,which serves as precious archives of the Sun's radiation history.Cosmogenic noble gas produced in lunar regolith by interactions with galactic cosmic ray and radiogenic 40Ar as a dating tool for lunar soils and rocks are also briefly introduced.
