Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of pentoxifylline (PTX) in treating rats with acute lung injury. Methods LPS induced acute lung injury in rats,Blood gas was analysed,PLA_2 and the surfactant in bronchoaveoli (BALF) was lavaged at 30h after LPS injection. Results LPS induced acute lung injury in rats.PLA_2 in BALF and lung tissue were obviously higher(P0.01),PC decreased while PE increased (P0.01).The changes of above parame- ters were obviously attenuated by PTX.Conclusion The changes of PS system in lung tissue is definitely in ALl.Changes of PLA_2 is consistent in that of surfactant and may play an important role in this change.PTX has certain protective effects on rat with ALI.
