The comprehensive harnessing of the soil erosion of dry slope farmland in the process of ecological environment protection and construction in west China

Intensifying the protection and construction of ecological environment was an important content in the strategy of west development.The ban for the damage of natural forest and the afforestation in steep slope farmland were main measures.In Sichuan province,the areas of soil erosion accounted for 44 4% of the total area,and increased by 3 1 Percentage compared with that of 10 years ago.The total amount of soil erosion in Sichun province reached 733 619 million ton,and the corresponding amount in farmland reached 221,786 million ton,which accounted for 30 2% of the total amount.The amount of soil erosion per unit in farmland was more than twice amount compared with average situation of soil erosion in whole province.The comprehensive control on the soil erosion in dry slope farmland should become an important content for Sichuan province in the process of west development and ecological environment protection.
