Abstract
[Objective]To understand hygienic status of secondary water supply in urban district of Xuzhou city.[Methods]Investigation on hygienic status of second water supply units was conducted according to Program of supervision and inspection of drinking water hygiene in Jiangsu province in 2009 with unified survey questionnaire and statistics method.[Results]Of the 450 secondary water supply units investigated,the average qualified rate of secondary water supply for bacterial index was 90.29%.While the average qualified rate for chemical index was 97.57%.Management responsibility was not clear in 3.20% of the units,and management system of cleaning and disinfection was not perfect.18.84% of these units cannot clean the water tank once a year.[Conclusion]The qualified rate of the water quality from secondary water supply had obviously been improved.Unreasonable design of reservoir and oversight in management were still the main factors that influence the quality of the water from secondary water supply.Health supervision and inspection must be strengthened,comprehensive management measures must be taken to ensure drinking water safety from secondary water supply.
