Abstract

Arsenazo Ⅲ is a colouring reagent for determination of some inorganic ions.In this paper,it is firstly found that arsenazoⅢ can react with BSA to form complex in Britton Robinson buffer at pH 2 1 and at the room temperature, which gives maximum absorption speak at 602 nm with 59 nm of red shift compared to that of arsenazoⅢ.The molar absorptivity of the BSA arsenazoⅢ complex is 5 6×10 5 L·mol -1 ·cm -1 and the linear range for proteins determination is 0~450 μg/10mL.This method has been used for determination of albumin in human serum, and good results were obtained.
