Abstract
Three methods of whole alive plant inoculation(inverse plate of inoculation, sowing fungus plants, spore spraying) were studied to identify alfalfa resistance to common leaf spot.Three varieties of alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.cv.Iroquois,M.sativa L.cv.Shawan,M.sativa L.cv.Jingyang) with known difference in resistance to P.medicaginis were inoculated with Pseudopeziza medicaginis. The results showed that spore suspension spraying is the most stability and more quick one of the whole plant inoculation methods. The methods can quickly, well and truly screened the varieties of alfalfa resistance. The best spore suspension is composed of 0.5%Tween-20 +4.5%D-Glucose+9mg/L 1-aphthylacetic acid +1g/L spore.
