Abstract

Objective To analyze the correlation between the endoscopic manifestations of peptic ulcer and TCM syndrome. Methods 86 cases of patients with peptic ulcer were selected in our hospital, and they were treated with TCM syndrome and gastroscope exam. The relationship between TCM syndromes and gastroscopy was analyzed. Results In peptic ulcer disease, ulcer type and area of ulcer in TCM syndrome had no significant difference(P 0.05). In ulcer color, spleen and stomach deficiency cold type and cold pathogen attacking stomach type made gastric peptic ulcer whiter. Liver qi stagnation type and stomach yin deficiency and stomach heat type had more yellow. The retention of food in stomach type and static blood in stomach collaterals type had no significant difference( P 0.05). In addition, the Helicobacter pylori infection rate of different TCM syndrome had significant differences, P 0.05. The Helicobacter pylori infection rate of the stomach heat type was about 88% which was the highest infection rate. Conclusion There is a certain correlation between the endoscopic manifestations of peptic ulcer and TCM syndrome types, and has a more prominent role in clinical diagnosis value and significance.
