Abstract

Using slug test to get the permeability coefficient of aquifer has a relatively mature development, but the slug mathematical models specially applied to the snaked well in submerged aquifer rarely appear in literatures. So,the slug mathematical model for the naked well in submerged aquifer is deduced by considering the effect of the increased thickness of submerged aquifer.Compared with Bouwer and Rice model,it considers the effect of the elevation of the submerged aquifer’s water level after water-injecting into the well upon the permeability coefficient K.Combined with the variable head permeability experiment and pre-pumping test, the accuracy of the permeability coefficient calculated by this model in engineering examples is verified.
