Abstract
There is a drastic temperature variety in plate during quenching process, and the difference in temperature in thickness direction increases with the increase of thickness. It may easily induce non-uniform microstructure in plate. The commercial software ABAUQS was used to simulate the temperature field in plate during the quenching process. The temperature gradient and cooling rate were calculated. A good theoretical reference was provided to establish reasonable quenching process schedule for the homogenous microstructure and properties in plate.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
