Abstract

The navigable span bridge of the Hongdu Bridge in Nanchang is a two-tower and three-span single cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge with a main span 195 m and structurally,three main cables are provided for the bridge and the configuration of the bridge is elegant.This paper presents the principal contents of the design of the towers,stiffening steel box girder,cable and suspender system of the bridge,the construction method of erecting the girder first and installing the cable and suspender system late and conducts a study of the mechanical mechanism of the steel and concrete anchorage zones for the main cables and wind resistance performance of the bridge.The results of the study demonstrate that the mechanical behavior of various components of the anchorage zones can meet the requirements and the bridge has fairly good aerodynamic stability.
