Abstract

Languages of every part of the world have both rhythm and rhyme,which are the fundamental elements of poetry from an aesthetic point of view.English poetry is,naturally,one beautiful rose in the garden of poetry.This paper is to explore the complex systems of rhythm and rhyme to verify the importance of stress in English poetry.
