Variation characteristics of air temperature and precipitation in Mt.Qilian region in recent half century

Using annual mean,maximum,minimum air temperature and monthly mean precipitation data from 19 weather stations in Mt.Qilian region from 1960 to 2005,applying linear trend,moving mean and accumulated variance analysis methods to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution characters of the change of the air temperature and precipitation during the recent 46 years in Mt.Qilian region.The main findings can be summarized as follows:(1) There is an obvious increase trend of the air temperature in Mt.Qilian region 1960 to 2005,the extend of increase of the minimum air temperature is higher than mean,maximum air temperature.(2) The change of air temperature in Mt.Qilian region have a good synchronization with the change of air temperature in Northwest of China,the change of air temperature is more significant in west section than in middle and east section of Mt.Qilian region.(3) There is an obvious increase trend of the precipitation in Mt.Qilian region,however there is an obvious difference among different area,increase trend of the west part is the most significant,starting obvious ascending from 1978,which is earlier than other region of Northwest of China.The increase trend of the precipitation in south slope is more significant than in north slope.
