Reconstruction Plate Internal Fixation for the Treatment of Clavicle Fracture

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of reconstruction plate internal fixation for the treatment of clavicle fracture. Methods From August 2001 to August 2004,36 Patients underwent reconstruc- tion plate internal fixation for the treatment. Result All the cases were followed up,ranging 3 to 12 months, with an average of 8.6 months.Each fractured part was found that calluses were growing of fracture healed with good shoulder function. But one case was found the plate and screws loosen. Another case was found the fractuer didn heal. The fixations of 20 cases were taken off, and no fractuers of 20 cases were taken off, and no fractures happened after that. Conclusion Despite the operative damage, the reconstruction plate internal fixatiion for the treatment of clavicle fracture is a reliable , effctive method and it抯 quite acceptable by patients.
