Harmoniousness of Soul and Sex——Remarks on the Sexual Depiction of Xu Zhimo's Poems

Abstract

There are some poems with sexual depiction in Xu Zhimo's writings,which reflect his poetics view and his ideal viewpoint about love.These poems are outcomes of the day and embodiment of the New Culture Campaign at that time,especially a reflection of culture and free verse written in the vernacular.They have certain esthetics value and shall not be regarded as erotic or obscene.
