Abstract
According to the arrangement of Agricultural Technology Extension Station of Hunan for the better promotion of high-quality and high-yield Japonica rice varieties to alleviate the contradiction of supply and demand of the seed, new Japonica rice varieties Yangjing 4227, Xiushui 09, Yongyou 5550, Yongyou 1540, Yongyou 4540, Chunyou 84 and Tianyouhuachan(CK) were introduced and compared in this test. The results showed that the Chunyou 84 and Yongyou 4540 were better in different degrees than or equal to the Tianyouhuachan(CK) in plant growth, plant type, grain yield, disease resistance and lodging resistance, except slightly lower in the tillering; and both of them could be grown as production demonstration in late-rice fields of tobacco-rice rotation areas in Ningyuan.
