Abstract
The intumescent flame retardant synthesized from P_2O_5, pentaerythritol and melamine was applied in chlorination rubber to prepare the intumescent flame retardant coating. The results shows:the intumescent effect is affected by the composition of fire retardant ,the optimal composition is n(P_2O_5)∶n(PT)∶n(M) = 1.0~2.0∶1.0∶1.7~(2.7);the fire retardance of coating is affected by the composition of fire retardant, it has optimal effect when composition of flame retardant is n(P_2O_5)∶n(PT):n(M) = 2∶1∶2.5;the fire retardance of coating is affected by the addition amount of fire retardant, when the addition amount is sufficient for coating , the flame retardancy did not increase as the flame retardant content increase.
