Wang Guowei's Contribution to the Construction of Chinese Philosophy

Abstract

Wang Guowei made a creative contribution to Chinese philosophy. By introducing western philosophers' thought, he advanced that the goal of philosophy is the inquiry of truth. At the same time, he analyzed the key concept of Chinese philosophy, and tried to arrange the sources of Chinese philosophy according the paradigm of western philosophy. The work of Wang Guowei influenced the research method of modern Chinese philosophy in 20century.
